Very warm and welcoming stay - loved the array of teas available outside our room.

Overall excellent experience. Only thing I would change is a better veggie option for breakfast I.e quorn sausages so I could have the full English. Otherwise we had a wonderful stay and would definitly visit again. Thank you.

Our hosts at Almara House were very warm and welcoming, and the accomodation was very comfortable. Beautiful breakfast provided and every effort made to please. Relatively new house, so all the features are modern and functional. Set a few minutes drive from the old city, but easy to find and use as a base fir exploring the area.

Great Stay! We had wonderful stay at Almara House. Matt & Marie are wonderful hosts. We felt very relaxed and welcomed as soon as we arrived. The room was lovely and spotless. Small but comfortable guest room. Exceptional breakfast served by extraordinaryly friendly and loveable hosts. Although located on the outskirts of Galway, it was not too far to the city centre. Newly opened italian restaurant in the vicinity. Always a good choice!

Almara House is cozy and warm thanks to the very friendly demeanour of the hosts who treated us like family. Almara House is a 10 minute drive from the city center so it is convenient to head out to the city. We loved the tailored breakfast options made to our taste. Thank you for such a lovely experience!

Great welcome, marvellous breakfast, beautifully decorated room. We had an attic room which was excellent. Only criticism is that I banged my head in the doorway to the ensuite, which is definitely too low if you're 6 feet or over. Parking is also a bit of an issue but I would be very happy to stay there again. Very hospitable host and hostess. Thank you.

There is an expression in French "se mettre en quatre" which means to be extremely attentive and to make everything for the well being of its hosts. Mary and Matthew are part of our great memory of our Ireland discovery.

My stay at the guest house was amazing from beginning to end. Everything was immaculate and well done and well kept. The decorations and general decor were comfortable modern and tasteful. Breakfast was cooked perfectly every morning. The guest house owners were personable and kind. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
